The first night a large male elephant tore apart a tree next to our bush camp tent. The next morning it came back into camp and we saw just how large it was - standing twice the size of the 4x4. We were fortunate to see elephant, giraffe, zebra, hippo, rhino, warthog, kudu, hyena, monkey, blue balled baboon, crocodile, golden baboon spider and dung beetle courtesy of our Professional Guides Leeann and Thabang. Only Mitchell carried a rifle, however that was on our 3 hour walking game safari.
Jim + Jane will be travelling Round The World in 2015 and 2016 living life, experiencing other cultures, meeting new people and learning more about the world we share.

Wildlife - South Africa
We landed in Johannesburg and spent 18 days travelling over 5000 kms in an overlander truck observing wildlife in Kruger Park, hiking in the Drakensberg mountains, hiking along the Wild Coast, swimming in the Indian Ocean near Durban and climbing Table Mountain in Cape Town. We mainly stayed in simple yet comfortable lodges off the beaten track, often requiring 4 wheel drive on dirt tracks for the last hour or so to reach the lodge.
