Deoksugung Palace 'The Palace of Virtuous Longevity' originally home to the King in 1593. Beautiful and tranquil treed palace grounds are located in the centre of Seoul across form the ultra modern City Hall.
In complete contrast a 1910 stone building of Western architectural design was subsequently occupied by the Royal Family.
